Ambience: 2/10 – There are a few tables in the space that aren’t super maintained (cleaned) and loud music that isn’t necessarily kid friendly (some swear words).

I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this joint as fried chicken has become pretty mainstream recently. I was very impressed with the chicken sandwich provided. It was a thick cut, but still juicy white meat chicken breast with a slight breading. I normally pull breading off if it’s too thick, but this was thin and really enhanced the flavor of the chicken. The sandwich is served with a vinegar slaw, pickles, and a special sauce that had a kick of sweet to it. The sauce really impressed me and complemented the sandwich well. The spice level is selected at ordering and I went with a Level 2. For a person unadjusted to spice this would be too much; however, I think another notch would have perfected the sandwich for me. The space itself has limited inside seating that isn’t well maintained by the front of house staff. It works in a pinch, but definitely worthwhile to get this to go or eat at a nearby park on a warm day.
